The trend in TV bingo shows such as ITV’s Bingo Night Live being linked to an online bingo site is proving to be one of the success stories of 2008 in the online bingo industry.

In Sweden, which has seen strong growth in online bingo games, a weekly bingo show has become a hit with audiences prompting a number of bingo online industry observers to say that TV shows linked to online bingo halls may be the way of the future.

With the number of European online bingo sites growing rapidly, online bingo has been identified as having the potential to account for as much as 25% of the world online gaming industry by the year 2012.

Former UK model Melinda Messenger is to be joined by Michael Underwood as hosts for ITV’s latest bingo show.  Called Bingo Night Live, UK viewers can join the new hosts for bingo games on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Melinda Messenger claimed:  “It’s the nation’s favourite game and accessible for all – it’s good clean fun, nice and easy to play and best of all it’s free.”
The show will be one hour long and incorporates bingo with entertainment segments dotted around the three main bingo games.  The show is offering a Golden Jackpot of £25,000 for its June 4 launch night.
