NetPlayTV has announced former BBC light entertainment manager Michael Leggo will be its new director of television with responsibility for the compnay’s range of products as well as its television gaming.
NetPlayTV recently announced plans for the launching of a new online bingo TV show as part of its continued expansion into the bingo online industry. The company currently maintains an online bingo games presence via its Bingos.com online bingo hall operation.
Commenting on his appointment, Leggo said: “NetPlay TV’s dedication to providing quality entertainment has already proved massively successful. With ever more channels and platforms to cater for, this is a particularly exciting time to be joining the company.”

NetPlay interactive television group, which operates interactive and online bingo games, has shown substantial growth of 61% for its operations over 2007.
The company now boasts revenues of GBP 9.4 million for the year. Amongst the company’s successes leading to this jump in revenue was the successful launch of “Big Box Bingo” in July 2007.

The company has also recently entered into an agreement with online bingo developer Parlay Entertainment to help enlarge NetPlay’s bingo online products, though this deal is not reflected in the latest revenue figures.
NetPlay CEO Higginson commented: “It is extremely encouraging to see the strategic investment decisions we made in 2007 beginning to show excellent results in 2008. We firmly believe in the future commercial strengths of a converged gaming offering.”

The company says it will continue to launch new formats for a larger choice of games and that the acquisition of online bingo hall Bingos.com allows NetPlay to develop better systems across all platforms.
