If you were around in the early 90’s, then the chances are you will remember Richard O’Brien hosting The Crystal Maze. The show aired for the first time in 1990 but recently was revamped and is now back on our television screens.
Like many TV shows, The Crystal Maze has been bingoed by Jackpot Joy, and now you can play a version of it on the popular online bingo site.
Jackpot Joy are well-known for translating various game shows to a bingo format, and The Crystal Maze Bingo is just the latest but what’s the playability of the new bingo game?
Playing Crystal Maze Bingo
If we’re entirely honest, we were at Jackpot Joy for quite a while playing the game but not because the bingo is any better or worse on the main game, but because we were determined to beat the highest score in the bonus round!
Like a lot of the themed bingo games that you find online today, the only difference between The Crystal Maze Bingo and others available at the site is the bonus round.
The main game plays in the same way a traditional game of 90 ball bingo does, it’s just the bonus round at the end of the game, when the full house has been called, that differs.
So long as you have purchased a minimum of six tickets in the main game, you will be eligible to play the bonus round.
The Crystal Maze Bingo Bonus Round
As is the case for the winning team in the show of the same name, at the end of Crystal Maze Bingo all players with the qualifying amount of tickets in play are able to participate.
In the bonus round you have to click as many Golden Tickets as you can in the allotted time. All tickets, both gold and silver, are floating around the screen and at the end of the time, your score is tallied.
You will get one point for a gold ticket and lose one point for every silver ticket that you collect.
You will earn free tickets for the next game based on your score and that of the community.
It’s worth checking out if you’re playing at Jackpot Joy.
