There are some things in the world of online bingo that we would never have thought possible, and we’ve been doing this many a year.
However, news filtered through that Foxy Bingo are moving to Cozy Games software shortly proving that anything is possible in this industry!
Foxy Bingo had lost much of its appeal to us quite some time ago, not least of all because they dropped marketing partners like hot potatoes.
Cashcade to Party To GVC
That aside, the moment the brand was sold by Cashcade and taken over by PartyGaming, then GVC things just started to slide.
There was no longer the apparent passion for the brand that Cashcade had always shown, and don’t even get us started on when they opted to semi-drop the fox in favour of Heather Graham!
Notification Of Change From Foxy Bingo
Notification of the impending change was received by email on 24th October 2018.
The email stated, much as in the same way as when Think Bingo moved to Cozy games, that as of 20th November 2018, 888 Group will no longer be operating Foxy Bingo.
As this point, ElectraWorks Ltd (who now own the Cozy Games products and are part of the GVC group) will be taking over operations.
Signing in to your account following this date will mean that you have to consent to the migration of your data to the new product.
Additionally, you will be required to accept the new Terms and Conditions to continue to play with Foxy Bingo.
The Right Move For Foxy Bingo?
Financially this move makes sense. Foxy don’t own the 888 product and therefore have to pay a fee to 888 for providing the current software to Foxy Bingo.
Bringing the brand onto a bingo software they own is a sound move for the cost implications but what of the players’ feelings?
Are loyal players going to move to the new product with the brand or will we see them migrate to other sites powered by the 888 software.
Time will tell, watch this space!
