Who actually runs your bingo room
Bingo Networks — Who Owns What Now
Most bingo sites do not build their own games. A handful of networks power nearly all of them — and over the last five years, most of those networks have changed hands or closed.
Every Network That Matters
Live, leaving, and long gone.
| Network | Status | Owner | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playtech (Virtue Fusion) | Live | Playtech | The biggest bingo network in the UK. Runs Mecca, Buzz and the former Daub brands. |
| DragonFish | Live | Broadway Gaming | Built by 888 and sold to Broadway Gaming. Still running, under different ownership. |
| Real Bingo Network | Live | Broadway Gaming | Runs DragonFish software with a no-wagering policy. Launched 2018 with Blighty Bingo. |
| Gamesys | Live | Bally’s | The platform behind Jackpotjoy and Virgin Games. |
| Pragmatic Play | Winding down | Pragmatic Play | Announced in June 2026 that it is leaving bingo. A phased exit — operators are migrating now. |
| Daub (Stride Gaming) | Closed | Brands now Rank | Rank bought Stride in 2019. The brands moved to Playtech, Kitty Bingo last in December 2020. |
| Microgaming | Closed 2020 | Games business now Games Global | Shut its bingo network in 2020 to focus on casino, then sold its games business in 2022. |
Checked 23 October 2026. Ownership in this industry changes often, and most sites listing these networks have not been updated in years.
Why the Network Matters More Than the Brand
Two bingo sites with completely different names, colours and mascots are often the same rooms, the same games and the same players behind the front door. They share a network.
That has three consequences worth knowing about.
- The prize pots are shared. A jackpot on a network is funded by everyone playing it, across every brand. That is why a small site can advertise a big pot.
- Switching sites may change nothing. If a room disappoints you and you move to its sister site, you may land in the identical game with a different logo.
- Self-exclusion does not always follow you. Excluding at brand level may not cover every site on the network. GAMSTOP covers all UKGC-licensed operators and is the reliable route.
What Happened to the Ones That Closed
Microgaming shut its bingo network at the beginning of 2020, six months after closing its poker network, saying it would concentrate on casino content. In 2022 it sold its games portfolio and distribution business to Games Global. The name is effectively retired.
Daub was Stride Gaming's network. Rank Group bought Stride in October 2019 for around £116 million, and the brands — Kitty Bingo, Lucky Pants Bingo, Lucky VIP, Magical Vegas and others — moved onto Playtech. Kitty Bingo was the last across, in December 2020. The brands are alive and well; the network behind them is not.
DragonFish is the one people most often assume has closed, and it has not. 888, now trading as evoke, sold its bingo business to Broadway Gaming. The network kept running under the new owner, though a number of white-label partners were dropped along the way and some familiar brands did close.
The One to Watch
In June 2026 Pragmatic Play announced it is leaving bingo, along with sportsbook and virtual sports, to focus on slots and live casino. It is a phased exit rather than a switch-off.
That matters more than a normal supplier change because of the scale: Jumpman Gaming alone has more than 180 sites on Pragmatic, and bet365 moved its bingo there in 2022. We cover where everyone is going on our Pragmatic Play page.

Because networks link many brands together, excluding yourself from one site may not cover its sister sites. GAMSTOP covers every UKGC-licensed operator in one go.
