Inspired by Space Invaders, of all things
Gamesys Bingo Sites
The British platform behind Jackpotjoy, now owned by Bally's and serving around 20 million players worldwide.
How Gamesys Started
The founders took their inspiration from Space Invaders. What they built was a bingo and games platform of their own.
Jackpotjoy launched on it first. Once the platform proved itself, other brands followed.
Who Owns It Now
Jackpotjoy was taken over by Intertain, a listed Canadian gambling company whose shares once traded on the London Stock Exchange.
There was then a confusing spell where the JPJ Group owned Jackpotjoy but not the platform it ran on.
Today Gamesys belongs to Bally's Corporation, which has launched several new brands on the software.

Jackpotjoy, the Flagship
Jackpotjoy carved out a place of its own in UK bingo. Barbara Windsor was famously its Queen of Bingo. Paddy McGuinness later took over as ambassador.
No one replaces the Queen of Bingo, but he does front some decent bonus deals.
The company has been pan-European since 2002, with players in Sweden, Spain, Italy and other regulated markets, plus a New Jersey licence.
It moved early on mobile too. Gamesys built mobile slots before most rivals, and was the first UK gambling company to run Facebook bingo, through Bingo Friendzy. Some of the largest jackpots on record went to people playing on their phones.
Slots and Casino Games
Jackpot slots feature heavily. Two of the biggest share a network jackpot: Tiki Temple and Deal or No Deal.
The Tiki range runs wider than that. It includes Tiki Island, Tiki's Catch Of The Day, which is free to play, and Tiki Totems.
Licensing and Responsibility
Every Gamesys-powered brand is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and promotes responsible gambling.
That focus on compliance has history behind it. The group has had run-ins with the regulator and paid fines, for breaching anti-money-laundering rules and for social responsibility failures.
As always, bonuses carry terms and conditions, and they are displayed clearly. Read them before you claim anything.
